Flying Solo brings together independent designers from around the world in a runway defined by experimentation, strong silhouettes, and unexpected detail — the kind of new fashion discoveries that make New York Fashion Week worth attending.
SoHo is the set
Step in front of the lens and become the subject of your own SoHo story. A professional photographer will capture you among cobblestone streets, cast-iron façades, and the unmistakable energy of downtown New York.

Inside Alex Teih’s New York atelier, couture remains intimate, exacting, and deeply personal. Independent of the major fashion conglomerates, the house preserves the freedom of a singular vision and the discipline of true handwork.
A private visit reveals how contemporary American couture is created — through fittings, construction, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Here, every garment begins as an idea and emerges as something closer to art.
At Safiyaa, glamour begins with precision. Each piece is made to order, shaped to the woman and completed by one maker from the first cut to the final stitch.

At Arlo NoMad, the city arrives before breakfast: the Empire State Building at the window, coffee within reach, and the day’s first look already taking shape.

New York fashion continues long after the runway lights fade. It moves through the dining rooms where insiders gather, and where the atmosphere matters just as much as what arrives at the table.
After the shows, Fashion Week shifts to the tables where New York expresses its taste in another form. COTE, Sant Ambroeus, Blue Box Café, Cecconi’s, Duomo 51 and Buddakan give each evening its own address — and a reason to dress accordingly.

The point of view behind the week.
HELEN VERDI — A personal stylist and image consultant with more than a decade of experience, Helen reads fashion through color, proportion and the architecture of a wardrobe. Her work turns style into a language specific to the woman wearing it.
MILA BYZOVA — Based in New York, Mila has worked with international fashion houses including CELINE and Safiyaa. Her perspective comes from direct experience inside the city’s luxury fashion business and the clients it serves.
