Detox

Today I thought about something: how often each of us needs a DETOX. And not just from flour and coffee, but on a larger scale: from people, thoughts, things, wardrobes, and even from our own life.

Periodically, our state feels like that tireless pony who gallops around doing everything and always managing, suddenly falls and dies. And that's it. In an instant, you start gasping – you stop loving what you once couldn't imagine life without. The food that once brought you joy no longer tastes good. The people you used to listen to, now irritate you. The news, which never really pleased you, now seems like something from a madhouse. Things that were beautiful just yesterday, you want to throw into a bag and toss in the trash.

The main question for me personally – how to catch that moment when you haven’t yet “broken” or “died,” but just got tired? How do you make that clever, masterful move in time and turn your stagnation into a powerful source of new strength and energy?

I know for sure that it's important to stop and have an honest conversation with yourself. Answer a couple of uncomfortable, sometimes painful questions, and figure out where exactly the stagnation is.

And often, the answer lies in the question itself:

If you feel like you’re overeating – stop, take a detox day.If the stagnation is in your body and it’s become heavy – start moving, even a little, a walk in the park.If there’s a million thoughts in your head that are tormenting you – create some silence, put away the gadgets, even for a little while. If your closet is overflowing with things that irritate you – urgently sort out your wardrobe, free up space, and feel the relief. If after communicating with certain people, you feel heavy and tired – stop talking to them. And if your energy is completely gone and nothing helps – buy a ticket for a trip, even to a neighboring city. A change of scenery always helps.
